Building of the campsite started yesterday. All main tents and units are in place and the campsite already looks a little alive. We will try to post some pictures later.

The opening of NICES 2009 will take place on Sunday 26 July at 15:00 hr at the Raadhuisplein in Nederweert. Everybody is invited !!!
De openingvan NICES 2009 zal op zondag 26 juli plaatsvinden om 15:00 uur op het Raadhuisplein in Nederweert. Iedereen is uitgenodigd !!!

 Today, 22 June, the camp rules and the health form are publised on the download page of this website.
Each participant is required to fill in and sign this health form before they set foot on the camp site.
Vandaag, 22 juni, zijn de kampregels en het gezondheidsformulier gepubliseerd op de downloadpagina van deze website.
Iedere deelnemer is verplicht dit gezondheidsformulier in te vullen en te ondertekenen voordat ze het kampterrein betreden.

 The contact persons of all participating groups have received an news letter.
In this letter is an update of the camp and other useful information for participants.
Vandaag hebben de contactperonen van alle deelnemende groepen een nieuwsbrief ontvangen.
Hierin staat een update van het kamp en nuttige informatie voor de deelnemers.

 Although the signup for groups is closed, a new group decided to join NICES today. The number of participants is now 162 from 13 diffirent groups from 7 different countries. This should be a good start for a great NICES.
Hoewel de inschrijving voor groepen gesloten is, heeft vandaag een groep besloten om aan NICES deel te nemen. Er zijn nu 162 deelnemers uit 13 groepen uit 7 verschillende landen. Dit zou een goed begin moeten zijn voor een geweldig NICES.

The NICES 2009 website is updated with participants pages. In this section you will find information about the participating groups and transportation. This area will soon be updated with the camp program, special events, tips and tricks for surviving a scoutcamp in The Netherlands, etcetera etcetera.
De NICES website is bijgewerkt met deelnemerspagina's. In dit gedeelte van de site vind je alle informatie over de deelnemende groepen en vervoer. Dit gedeelte zal later worden bijgewerkt met het kampprogramma, speciale activiteiten, tips om een scoutingkamp in Nederland te overleven (voor de buitenlandse deelnemers) enzovoorts enzovoorts.

 Today, 1 April 2009, the participant registration for NICES 2009 has closed. We had some requests in the final weeks. When we have sorted those out we will publish a list of participating groups in a new section on this website.
Vandaag, 1 april, is de NICES 2009 deelnemersregistratie gesloten. We hebben de laatste weken een aantal aanvragen gehad. Nadat we deze verwerkt hebben zullen we een lijst publiseren van deelnemende groepen op een nieuw gedeelte van deze website.

Today the NICES 2009 organization announced the condensing of NICES to one week. Participants and crew members already received an email about this topic. The whole message can be viewed here.

Vandaag heeft de NICES organisatie bekend gemaakt dat NICES wordt verkort tot een week. Deelnemers en vrijwilligers hebben hier al een email over gehad. Het volledige bericht kan hier bekeken worden.

The payment instructions are send to the groups who have completed their booking form.
De betalingsinstructies zijn verstuurd naar de groepen die het boekings formulier hebben ingestuurd.

The Crew section has been updated with lots of info for all people interested in being part of the NICES crew. Since we aim at a mainly Dutch crew, this site is at the moment only available in Dutch.

Het vrijwilligers gedeelte is bijgewerkt met een hoop informatie voor iedereen die geïnteresseerd is om als vrijwilliger deel te nemen aan NICES. Aangezien we ons vooral richten op Nederlandse vrijwilligers zijn deze pagina's alleen beschikbaar in het Nederlands.

Because of a change in bank accounts the payment instructions are still not send Instructions will be sent in the beginning of January.

Door een wijziging in bankrekeningen kunnen er nog geen betalingsinstructies worden gestuurd. De instructies zullen in het begin van januari verstuurd worden.

Today we received the licenses required for the organization of Nices 2009. The organizing team can really start now.

Vandaag hebben we de vergunningen ontvangen voor de organisatie van Nices 2009. De organisatie kan nu echt aan de slag.

After months of waiting, finally we have something new to present to you:

NICES 2009!

This new camp comes with a whole new website, containing the newest information about the fourth edition of Nederweert's most fabulous Scouting summercamp.
From 25 July till 9 August 2009, the terrain of Manege de Kraal in Nederweert in the South of the Netherlands will again be full of adventurous and happy Scout friends having the time of their lives.

Na maanden van wachten hebben we eindelijk iets nieuws te presenteren:

NICES 2009!

Bij dit kamp hoort met een nieuwe website met daarop de nieuwste informatie over de vierde editie van Nederweert's beroemdste Scouting zomerkamp.
Van 25 juli tot en met 9 augustus zal het terrein van Manege de Kraal in Nederweert, in het zuiden van Nederland, het terrein zijn van avontuur en plezier waar Scoutingvrienden de tijd van hun leven hebben.

Bekijk de rest van de site om te zien hoe JIJ onderdeel kan zijn van dit al legendarische evenement!

Al het nieuws met betrekking tot NICES 2009 is beschikbaar in het Engels en het Nederlands. Oudere nieuwsberichten zijn alleen in het Engels.

 The NICES team has started preparations for NICES 2009. The website will be updated with 2009 information shortly, but until then the 2006 information will remain.

Het NICES team is begonnen met de voorbereidingen voor NICES 2009. De website zal binnenkort worden bijgewerkt met 2009 informatie. Tot die tijd zal de 2006 informatie beschikbaar blijven.
